The 32TB label answers only one question: raw capacity. It does not answer firmware behavior, support route, recorder qualification or the assumptions behind the workload. Surveillance and enterprise drives can both be robust without being the same product.
In an NVR, the disk spends its life taking many video streams at once and overwriting old footage in a loop.
