Why this page exists

The budget end of PS5 and general M.2 NVMe storage is crowded with names most buyers have never heard of, and the honest answer to “who makes this” is frequently “we could not find out.” That is a real, useful finding rather than a dead end - knowing that a brand's stated official site does not resolve tells you something about how reachable that company actually is, and we would rather report the gap than paper over it with a plausible-sounding guess.

This page applies the same discipline to every budget brand we stock that our Fanxiang brand page applies to one: sourced corporate identity where we could get one, sourced warranty and hardware statements where they exist, live measured catalogue data always, and no verdict on any brand's trustworthiness in either direction.

Corporate identity, brand by brand

Fanxiang has its own full profile - USPTO-registered as Shenzhen Fanxiang Information Technology Co., Ltd, with per-model hardware sourcing - so it is not repeated here beyond the measured table below. The rest of this section covers every other budget brand we stock.

What we found on warranty and hardware sourcing

None of the eight brands in this section publish a stated warranty term or a controller/NAND supplier statement on a document we could read this session - distinct from Fanxiang, where ServeTheHome's teardowns gave us exactly that for one model. We looked rather than assumed the absence: Fikwot's and Vansuny's stated sites do not resolve, Team Group's and Silicon Power's sites rendered but we could not locate a specific-model spec page within this session's effort budget, and Bestoss's own about page carries positioning language rather than a warranty figure. This is a gap in what we could source this session, not a claim that no such documentation exists anywhere.

Why there is no single “cheapest brand” figure

Averaging or ranking the $/GB ranges above would measure each brand's current capacity mix as much as its pricing - a brand selling mostly 4TB drives will show a lower average $/GB than one selling mostly 500GB drives, regardless of which is the better deal at a capacity you actually want. This is the same discipline the matched-capacity doctrine applies everywhere else on this site, from the express-versus-UHS-I microSD premium to the recertified-versus-new hard drive spread: an unmatched average is easy to compute and measures the wrong thing more often than the right one, so we do not publish one just because it would fit neatly into a single summary row.
