Largest SSD announced or demonstrated
The announced-or-demonstrated category is where headline capacity usually appears first. DapuStor's 512TB R6060 is important because it changes device-count math: two drives reach roughly 1PB raw before parity, mirroring, erasure coding and filesystem reserve.
This category is not the same as "available to buy." DatacenterDisk keeps the status badge visible because capacity demos can arrive long before broad public pricing.
Largest commercially shipping SSD
Micron's 6600 ION 245.76TB is the clearest shipping reference in the current source set. Micron describes it as a PCIe Gen5 QLC enterprise SSD for AI data lakes, object storage, analytics, cloud and hyperscale deployments.
Other 245.76TB product families matter for comparison, especially KIOXIA LC9 and DapuStor R6060 variants, but the page does not give them the same shipping label unless the source itself supports that claim.
Largest SSD with a current public price
This leaderboard uses current in-stock SSD prices and deliberately excludes announced, demonstrated, sampling or evaluation products that do not have a public transactional offer.
For purchase comparisons, this is often the most useful answer. The biggest drive in a press release and the biggest drive you can price today are frequently not the same product.
How many SSDs make 1PB?

What does the largest SSD actually cost?
Public pricing is a separate data point from capacity. If a current public price is available, the page shows the actual product and Buy/View Price path.
