n/s = we could not read that value from the listing. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT.

Read each row in this order: product, part number, capacity, interface, price per TB, condition and price. A seller appears under the condition where Amazon.co.uk names one, and n/s means we could not read that value from the listing. Our latest price check ran on 5 November 2026, 03:39 UTC; individual rows may have been checked earlier. Our Amazon.co.uk price record starts on 5 November 2026.

This is a starting view, not a census. 2.5-inch enterprise drives are filtered out, and so is any listing for which we hold no form factor. Amazon.co.uk is the only merchant this UK section prices, so a low figure here means low among these listings and nothing wider.

Which guide to open next

Narrower questions get their own pages as they are published, among them price per TB, best enterprise hard drives and the Seagate Exos, WD Ultrastar and Toshiba MG ranges.

What counts as enterprise in this section

We class a drive as enterprise by its product line, not by any test of our own. Seagate presents Exos as 'Engineered for modern data centres', and Toshiba names its MG series the Enterprise Capacity Hard Drive. That is how the makers position them. It is not a measurement by us.

Refurbished hard drives in the UK: reading the Used rows

Used is a label on the row, not a grade. It does not tell you who prepared the drive or what warranty comes with it. At the moment 49 enterprise 3.5-inch drives carry that label, and the lowest works out at £20.49/TB.

Warranty is the point to weigh against that rate. Within Seagate's own ranges, the Exos 7E10 is listed with a 5-year limited warranty, and recertified drives are backed by a six-month warranty. Neither statement describes a particular Amazon.co.uk offer, and a Used row should not be assumed to belong to a maker's programme. Look for the refurbisher and the warranty wording on the listing itself before judging the saving. Refurbished enterprise drives and used server drives take this further.

SAS hard drive or SATA: the controller decides

Seagate's support note reduces this to two lines: a SATA drive may be plugged into a SAS controller, but a SAS drive cannot be plugged into a SATA controller. So a SAS drive is only worth pricing if the machine it is going into has a SAS controller.

The range name will not settle it for you. Toshiba's MG series comes in both SATA and SAS, from 1 TB to 24 TB, so go by the Interface column instead. Among 3.5-inch enterprise listings, 48 state SAS, with the lowest at £24.75/TB. A listing whose interface we could not read falls out of that figure, so it can undercount. SAS hard drives and SAS vs SATA go deeper.

Hard drive price per TB: what the figure leaves out

The £/TB column divides a row's price by its capacity, so a 4 TB drive and a 24 TB drive can be set side by side. A row with no stated capacity has no per-TB figure.

It is not the same thing as the lowest outlay. The lowest price among these matches is £69.82, and that can belong to a different, smaller drive than the best per-TB row. Nor does the figure account for condition, interface or warranty, so weigh a row only against rows that match it on all three.

Where enterprise SSDs fit

This section also follows enterprise SSDs, though none appears in the table above. 35 are in stock at the moment, with the lowest at £134.89/TB. Those figures leave out client M.2 2400 drives, by title. We draw no conclusion here about SSDs against hard drives, because this page holds no source for one. Enterprise SSD listings are set out separately.

Warranty and statutory rights are two separate things

Your statutory rights run against a trader seller, not the drive's maker, whatever a warranty says. The where-to-buy guide sets out the rights we could source.

Frequently asked questions

Does this site sell hard drives?

No. We track listings and link to them. The seller is Amazon.co.uk or the marketplace seller named on the listing, and the price there at the time of purchase is the one that applies.

Why is Amazon.co.uk the only merchant here?

It is the only merchant this section tracks. A price on these pages therefore says nothing about what anyone else charges for the same drive.

Do the pounds figures include VAT?

Yes. Each figure in pounds on these pages, including the per-TB rate, is sterling inc VAT, as shown on Amazon.co.uk when we last looked.
