KIOXIA PCIe 6 enterprise SSD

KIOXIA CM10 PCIe 6.0 Enterprise SSD

KIOXIA CM10 is the company's first PCIe 6.0 enterprise SSD family, built around BiCS FLASH generation 10 TLC and aimed at enterprise plus AI workloads that need higher performance and cooling flexibility.

CM10 should not be treated as a normal retail SSD today. KIOXIA says the drives are sampling to selected customers, and this page only displays a Buy/View Price path when a current public offer exists.

Direct answer
KIOXIA CM10 is a sampling-stage enterprise SSD family. E3.S and E1.S CM10 configurations are PCIe 6.0 with NVMe 2.1, direct-cold-plate liquid-cooling options and capacities up to 61.44TB depending on configuration. KIOXIA lists the 2.5-inch CM10 configurations as PCIe 5.0.

CM10 capacity and form factors

CM10 is not one capacity or one physical shape. KIOXIA lists E1.S, E3.S and 2.5-inch configurations, with read-intensive and mixed-use endurance classes. The EDSFF versions carry the PCIe 6.0 label; the 2.5-inch versions are listed as PCIe 5.0.

CM10 performance

KIOXIA describes CM10 as delivering substantial gains over CM9 in sequential read and random read performance under its stated comparison. DatacenterDisk treats those as manufacturer claims, not independent benchmarks, and does not rank CM10 by value until a current public price exists.

CM10 liquid cooling

Liquid cooling is a platform feature, not a universal deployment setting. KIOXIA lists cold-plate direct liquid cooling support for E3.S and E1.S 9.5mm CM10 form factors, while all form factors also support traditional air-cooled environments according to its product material.

CM10 for AI inference and context cache

CM10 sits in the high-performance enterprise flash tier. It is relevant to AI inference, context cache, vector-index backing stores and data pipelines that are sensitive to latency and throughput. It is not simply a higher-capacity archive drive.

CM10 and NVIDIA CMX

KIOXIA positions CM10 around NVIDIA CMX context memory storage, where a fast shared flash tier can support ephemeral KV cache. That does not mean CM10 replaces GPU memory; it means fast enterprise SSDs can become part of a broader memory and storage hierarchy.

CM10 vs CM9

InterfaceCM10 EDSFF moves to PCIe 6.0 / NVMe 2.1; CM9 is a PCIe 5.0 generation.
NANDCM10 uses BiCS FLASH generation 10 TLC, while CM9 used earlier BiCS TLC.
CoolingCM10 adds direct-cold-plate support on selected EDSFF form factors.
AvailabilityCM10 is sampling to selected customers; CM9 is an established enterprise SSD generation.

CM10 availability and price

KIOXIA describes CM10 as sampling to selected customers. No public CM10 price is shown here today. When a current public offer exists, the status table will show price, $/TB, condition and Buy/View Price CTA.
